HOW MANY DROPS OF ESSENTIAL OILS IN EACH BOTTLE?
Have you ever wondered how many drops are in each Doterra’s EO bottles?
People ask me this a lot, so I thought to write a little bit about it, to answer the question.
Doterra uses pre – programmed machines to bottle its precious Oils. These machines can calculate the amount of drops in each bottle, based on the capacity in millimetres.
There are 3 different sized bottles on the market right now: 5ml, 10ml (roller bottles), and 15 ml (the only exception being Yarrow Pom, that comes in a 30ml bottle).
Because the consistency of the Oils varies from one to the other (some EO are thinner, some are thicker), and therefore the speed at which they are “dropped” in each bottle by those machines varies too, you will find that there’s more drops per bottle of the thinner Oils (like Lemon for example), and less of the thicker ones (like Vetiver) in each bottle of the same size.
The amount of drops per bottle is not exact so, but it’s an estimate.
Roughly there are 250 drops in 15ml, 150 drops in 10ml, and 85 drops in 5ml.
